I rode this on 27th September starting from the car park at the Crymych Leisure Centre. I logged 65km with 1080m of height gain and it was my 27th Lost Lanes Wales.
This is another lovely ride full of scenic lanes and gorgeous vistas. The interesting little church of St Brynnach at Pontfaen, with its intruiging history (see http://www.fishguardanglicanchurch.org.uk/about/st-brynachs-church-pontfaen/ ), is well worth the slight detour needed to reach it.
“Gair i’r gall” – If you have the choice then I’d start this ride from Crymych as I did. This gets the more difficult rollercoaster section, plus headwind in all likelyhood, over early. You can then enjoy the more gentle section (more helter-skelter than rollercoaster!) back up to Crymych through the lovely Gwaun Valley.
