    The gate at Glenglass where the road up past the sub-station becomes a forest track is padlocked shut as at 25 July 2026 forcing us to climb over it. A barrier coming down the other side also locked but easy to skirt around.

      If it’s the same gate I’m thinking of (at the end of the tarmac road) it was locked shut for me too. However, in the wide verge to the left of the gate is a grassy path through a gap in the fence along which you can wheel your bike if you prefer. See photo.
