A really lovely ride through rural Lincolnshire. Would be amazing on a sunny spring day! Of the two short sections of bridleway on the route, the first – past Tupholme Abbey is delightful, but the second is a bit rutted and muddy for road bikes in winter. It is probably fine in spring/summer but if you are on narrow tires I recommend turning right onto Campney lane and avoiding the second part via a short detour on lanes/tracks.
Also of note is a delightful cafe and cycle shop in Horncastle “Just One More Bike”. They have spares, let you bring your bikes inside and sell really good coffee and cake as well as more substantial food….
A very nice ride through lovely countryside. Fairly flat most of the way apart from the climb into the wolds. Definitely stop in Horncastle for a drink / food – lots of options.
The ride on the Water Rail Way into Lincoln is also excellent – the cathedral is spectacular and can be seen for miles around.

Not working how exactly, Joseph? Looks to be working fine on the website (the GPX file for download also serves the map you see on the route page). Can you describe the problem you’re having in more detail?
Lovely route .
The bride way after Tupholme Abbey where you follow straight over crossing Campney Lane is very over grown and unnavigable so we took a right to join the beck side cycle track and then by the car park turned left to navigate a short way back to the official tour .
