Super route. So much to see in a relatively short ride. Adapted it to avoid off-road sections as I wasn’t sure our road bikes would be able to handle it. Impressive riding past Longleat House. Stourton was idyllic and a lovely place to stop for lunch. Amazing views of King Alfred’s Tower both as we passed and from far away. Loved passing through Nunney too.
This area seems to be overrun with SUVs but this lovely route avoids most of that menace.
Splendid views and a great circular route. Undulating most of the way , King Alfred’s tower made the hairs on the back of our necks stand up nice and tall.
Book marked this as one of the easiest shortest rides but as amateurs it was still a challenge (a welcome one !!!)
Rye Bakery by Frome station is a lifesaver both pre and post ride. 🍕🍺🍰🥛
Fantastic route, dont forget to spend some time in Frome with its narrow streets and independent shops and grab a well deserved pint at the Bath Arms just the other side of Longleat.
