  1. I cannot get this particular map, and Lost Lanes Central 14 to show up on OS despite having downloaded them each 3 times. I have downloaded all others, and used them out on the bike, no problem so am ruling out user error. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    1. Hi Deborah
Are you using OS app? There is a bug in the OS app which means it will reject any GPX file where there is a waypoint (i.e. point of interest) more than a certain arbitrary distance from the main track. It’s possible that this is causing the problem. One way to solve it is to run the GPX file through https://www.gpsvisualizer.com to strip out the waypoints.
      Does that help?

  2. Great ride Jack on a glorious late Autumn day. Good use of off main road side lanes descending down into Malvern allowing gazes across at the views of the town. Malvern extends much further on than I realised.. The tithe barn at Leigh Court was the highlight of the day. We arrived on a Saturday expecting crowds of visitors but were the only ones there. Initially it looked closed but a sneaky dwarf door at the end allowed us into a cathedral of workmanship. It was a special moment, to stand at one end of the empty barn and think about the sweat and labour that went into erecting those enormous oak beams. The churchyard next door made for an excellent lunch spot.
Living not too far away from Herefordshire I know it can be hilly but this ride does offer several opportunities to climb! I confess to toying with the idea of giving the last climb up to Wellington Heath a miss but so glad I didn’t. You were right, the uncluttered views were tremendous.

  3. What an absolute corker of a route! Thanks Jack, that ride alone was worth ten times the price of the book. New lanes and trails, perfect weather, cold one at the end. What’s not to like?! I seriously owe you you a beer mate. Cheers!
