  1. This was my first of the Lost Lanes rides and I thoroughly enjoyed it! A quiet and scenic route with interesting stops along the way, this ride had it all. Many thanks Jack, without this book I would not have had the confidence to attempt a ride like this.

A few notes on the route:
    1. Part of the riverfront path at the beginning of the route was closed due to construction. The unexpected detour took me onto city streets in Bath. The streets were absolutely fine to ride on, but the navigation to find the Two Tunnels Greenway was confusing.
    2. The road out of Bradford-on-Avon (B3109, I think) was uncomfortable due to traffic. This was made worse when I missed my turn and stayed on that road longer than necessary! Thankfully, this was the only part of the route with any traffic issues, and in retrospect it was a small bit to endure for a glorious ride.
    3. Some significant sections of the route had a rough surface that I found uncomfortable on the bike – parts of the canal towpath, the Fosse Way and Oakford Lane. I suppose that is the sacrifice we make for a low-traffic route, and I will make that trade any day. It was still pleasant to get off and walk as needed, but due to limited daylight (winter) I had to push my limits and ride some of it.

  2. I am trying to import this route into my Mapmyride account but when I click on Route/Create Route in MapMyRide, no further instruction “in blue” appears as described in your advice notes.
I did manage to get to a download route option on Mapmyride but when I select the route from my download file I keep getting an error message which leads me to think your files are not compatible with Mapmyride???
