  1. Ridden on 22nd April, 2016 – my third Welsh lost lane (and second of the day!). I set-off from the small car-park (free) in Gyffin (just off the B5106 outside Conwy) which is a short distance from the route. There’s also a large pay-and-display car-park 500m closer to the town. I registered 30km with 390m of elevation gain.

There are some great sea-views from the route as it circles Orme’s Head but be prepared to walk for a few hundred metres near to Deganwy as the cycle-track is rapidly reverting back to sand-dune.

“Gair i’r gall” – take time out on the sea-front at Llandudno to have an ice-cream and do some tourist watching.

  2. A very nice couple of hours cycle, some sharp hills but Marine Drive is a brilliant little road, few cars, great views, nice hill and a great descent.

  3. As another as mentioned above the sandy section at West Shore Beach has now completely been taken over by sand dunes. We tried to ride it on Saturday but had to turn back so just skip it. The dunes are too loose to even push and if the tide is in you can’t get round the rocks and we couldn’t carry bikes over them. The locals told us a storm had destroyed it. Just use Bryniau Road/ A546 (NCN route 5) instead. The Orme road is spectacular though!
