  1. Lost Lanes West was a lovely Christmas gift to receive. We chose this as our first route. Excellent. Everything as described, route easy to follow. Great scenery. A fabulous day – already planning our next trip!

We rode this today, May 2025. Brilliant ride. If we didn’t have the Lost Lanes, we would never know about these routes, they’re not obvious from looking at a map, so thanks Jack. This route is mainly off main roads, and about 12 miles is on the Granite Way. There are a couple of slogging climbs, but nothing that’s impossible. We got spoiled by the easy bits, the were hit with a 12% gradient. That’ll teach us to get complacent! Excellent views, almost all traffic free. Didn’t stop at the Lydford Gorge as the National Trust are too expensive, sadly. The viaducts are stunning. Some incredible downhill sections on the ride, very fast and exhilarating for speed freaks!
