  1. I completed this ride on 9th August (pm) for my 18th Lost Lanes Wales. I rode 45km with 750m of height gain.

Another lovely lanesy ride. At one point I saw about a dozen Red Kites swooping and diving above a field – trying to catch the wildlife being disturbed by a hay-making tractor. They didn’t seem to be very successful – but they made a wonderful sight. The delightful little road after Cilycwm also ducks and dives its way through the hills as it tries to find its way out of the valley.

“Gair i’r gall” – Save some your energy for the last third of the ride which is where most of climbing occurs.

  2. Lovely route, we tried it out using our new purchases, our E.bikes and it was so enjoyable. Normally we use our hybrid bikes but with advancing years we have given in to some luxury. There are several options to make the circular route shorter to fit the battery life of your bike and the route we took was fabulous. We started at Cilycwm and went via Pumpsaint, via Caio and Aberbowlan which led us via a short section of rough track before leading us down a fabulous Valley to Cilycwm. Roughly 20m in total
