  1. Debut ride from the three lost lane books I own but being a Midlands Boy it’s the Central Book I’ve used – scorching heat spectacular scenery and even on a holiday Saturday very little traffic, foot, car bike or otherwise so the proof is the rides live up to their name.

Sourcing and loading the GPX files was easy even for a non techie like me! And using BikeGPX transformed my experience in a positive way -can’t wait to get out there on the next one

  2. First LL for me in an area I thought I knew well. Rideable in winter but leave the road bike tires at home. I’d recommend paying attention on way out of Chesterfield as a little bit fiddly to start. Really nice ride with great scenery. If you like gravel and wanted to extend near the end then go from Holymoorside to Old Brampton and then Linacre (have a look at a map for the obvious bridleways). It’s not far then to join the Holmebrook Valley Cycle track back to near the start.
