   I did this ride today. It was great loop, the track up to mosser fell is not in the best shape at the beginning and is isn’t really rideable, however once past that point the rest of it is worth the effort of getting up there. It was a little more demanding that I was expecting but this is the most enjoyable ride I’ve done of yours to date. You won’t see much traffic when you are on roads. I started off from the National Trust car parks on the road heading towards Borrowdale (B5289), of which there are several. It adds a nice extension to the start and finish of the ride.

   Thanks Jack, really enjoyed this route. Started from Buttermere and missed out the offshoot to/from Keswick. Loved the broken road that led to views of Mosser Fell. The final climb of Newlands Pass was pretty challenging but worth the effort. Found the whole route manageable on a gravel bike.
